This course will provide officers with the knowledge required to physically, emotionally and mentally deal with the experience of being a part an officer involved shooting. This course is presented by current and former law enforcement officers that have experienced several on-the-job shootings and the toll that it takes on the officer, their family and agencies. Topics to be covered are laws & department policies; de-escalation options; emotional preparedness; warrior mindset; self-aid & buddy care; post-shooting processes; preparing yourself and family; PTSD & the effects of trauma; and more.
